Book Feature:

Brigadier General Stewart Residence

in Lethbridge, Alberta

Featured Home: 1907 Two story

To be featured in my book on historic interiors

As some of you may be aware I am in the process of writing a book on historic interiors of Alberta. As I gather information and take photographs of these houses I will share some of their photographs with you. The pictures below are from a historic home known as General Stewart's House and it is located in Lethbridge Alberta. General Stewart's personal story is inexorably linked to the development of this small southern Alberta city. I am in the process of getting more information.

Seeing that it's Christmas and that the current owner, Erich, has done such an amazing job of decorating his home for the season, I thought you might enjoy seeing some of his work. As you can see, a person's work is half done at Christmas when the walls are gold and red. Some houses are summer houses, full of light and airy. These are at their best in the summer. Some, like this lovely home, are winter homes. With their rich deep colors and dark woodwork they "wrap" you up with their ambiance to keep you warm in the winter time.
