C1912 Historic Houses of Edmonton - The Highlands
One of the best things about being a member of a Historic Society is the ability to be able to visit some wonderful heritage homes - both on the outside and the inside. This is one home that was recently featured in the Highlands neighborhood of Edmonton. It's a lovely house, built in 1912 and certainly influenced by the Queen Anne style that was so popular at that time - although it was more common in the United States than so far up north!
The owner and her husband have taken pains to preserve the historic envelope of the house at the same time as creating a home that meets all the needs of 21st century living. Here are some photos I took at the event:
